Of all mental illnesses, eating disorders have the highest mortality rate, with at least one person dying as a direct consequence of an eating disorder every 62 minutes, according to data provided by the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders. Also, according to data from ANAD, more than 30 million people nationwide suffer from an eating disorder, a number that has severe repercussions for serving college students.
