Generally, the most important witnesses at trial are the plaintiff and the named defendants, but colleges and universities should not overlook the important role played by experts on both sides in aiding a jury to decide a case. When choosing expert witnesses, be aware of the factors a court will consider when deciding whether the expert is qualified to testify.
