In your role as a disability services provider you are primarily focused on the process of promoting equitable access for your students with disabilities. Generally, when you have students with disabilities who self‐advocate, follow the procedures to secure accommodations in their academic courses, and work collaboratively with their faculty members, this process is smooth. When the process becomes disrupted, that is usually a result of your students not self‐advocating or following the process.
