When students are seated in front of you, it's possible to tell if they're uneasy self‐advocating by reading their body language, or whether there's something they may not be telling you that could help you better serve them. But what happens when you never see a student you serve in person? Students in fully online programs, military students stationed across the globe, and those on study‐abroad experiences may still need your assistance. But when you never interact with them in person, providing that assistance can sometimes be a challenge.
