While transfer rates vary across institutions, as many as one‐third of all college students may transfer from one institution to another within their college careers. Often, transfer students — whether they are coming into or leaving your institution — miss orientations for new students and information designed to get them acquainted with the disability services office. But all institutions are different. Offices serving students with disabilities can have different names, and their policies and procedures for securing services can vary widely.
