Fine‐needle aspiration biopsy (NAB) continues to be controversial in pediatric medicine, and is probably under‐utilized in many practices. Although there have been several publications dealing with pediatric neoplasms and tumor‐like conditions, there are few books which deal extensively with pediatric cytology. The purpose of this book is to provide both cytologists and clinicians with a systematic guide to cytodiagnosis by NAB in children. It seeks to dispel misconceptions, provide information on the utility of NAB, and summarize the current literature.
