Two cases in which the diagnosis of fibrolamellar carcinoma of the liver was made by fine‐needle aspiration are presented. The cytologic findings were characteristic and permitted these tumors to be differentiated from the usual hepatocellular carcinoma. Since fibrolamellar carcinoma has unique clinical and pathologic features, and is much more likely to be resectable. making this diagnosis is important.
