Bladder aspergillosis is an unusual infection. We report the case of a 79‐year‐old man with clinical records of transitional cell carcinoma diagnosed 5 years ago. The presence of a fruiting body and septate hyphae in urine cytological smears were the key for a final diagnosis of fungal bladder infection caused by Aspergillus niger. Diagn.
