A 48‐year‐old Asian man experienced chest pain during hemodialysis. He subsequently presented with sudden onset of epigastric and back pain. An intimal tear of the ascending and descending aorta was noted by transthoracic ultrasound. Aortic dissection was subsequently confirmed by a contrast‐enhanced computed tomography scan. Twelve hours after the onset of symptoms and before the patient was removed to the operating center, his clinical condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was declared dead. The case indicated that keeping a high clinical index of suspicion of aortic dissection in hemodialysis patients is crucial.
