Lisa García Bedolla, Ph.D., Vice Provost for Graduate Studies and the Dean of the Graduate Division at University of California, Berkeley, first came to Berkeley as an undergraduate student. The daughter of Cuban refugees, García Bedolla said she grew up with a different conception of the role of higher education than her peers.
