I planned to write a column reviewing where we were in higher education in 2010 and comparing it to 2020 and beyond. Well, in the immortal words of Robert Burns, “The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men/Gang aft a‐gley.” OK, so that's not exactly how “they” say it. The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. Such is the case for this month's column.
