Students with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder have begun to attend colleges and universities in high numbers in the last decade. These students often demonstrate an excellent ability to learn and have the curiosity and motivation for learning. However, they experience difficulties in college classrooms and face frustrations when they are unable to succeed. Although many students with ASD graduate from high school and pursue higher education, only one‐third of these students graduate from a four‐year university.
