ATLANTA — The racial history of the South is something Southern colleges must reckon with — not only because it's the right thing to do, but because it will matter to their prospective and enrolled students. That was the message from a session at the annual conference for the Association of American Colleges and Universities. Representatives from the Associated Colleges of the South shared how individual institutions included in the 16‐college consortium found ways to reckon with their history of racism and white supremacy.
