At Lake Area Technical Institute in South Dakota, student outcomes statistics tell a powerful story. The graduation/transfer rate is 74 percent, compared with 39 percent nationally. The retention rate is 80 percent, compared with 52 percent nationally. After graduation, 99 percent of graduates are employed. And graduates enter the workforce earning 27 percent more than other new hires in the region.
