Early in her career, Patricia D. White realized she enjoyed both the practical parts of problem‐solving that lawyers do and being a scholar and intellectual. “Administration allows me to combine the two in a way I find fulfilling,” she said. White has been dean and professor of law at the University of Miami School of Law since 2009 and was dean at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law before that.
