A method to obtain the dc electric field variation along the discharge gap in a fluid one‐dimensional, local ionisation case, is presented. The obtained dependence was used further to infer the other interesting parameters spatial distributions in the low pressure (1 Torr) discharge. These parameters could be, the current and charge densities, the ionisation source, the electric potential and so on.
