A partially ionized hydrogen plasma is considered in high electric fields. The influence of the field on the electron distribution function is described by solving the Boltzmann‐equation in Fokker‐Planck approximation. Three‐particle processes like exitation are included. With the help of the distribution function the field — behaviour is seen and the macroscopic values like kinetic energy, conductivity and runaway‐electrons are calculated explicitly. The heating up of the plasma and the break down of the system are shown.
