The paper presents the study of oscillations in the two‐dimensional Yukawa liquids where the interparticle interaction potential in addition to the Yukawa term has the dipole‐dipole interaction term. The frequency of longitudinal oscillations was studied using the Fourier transform of the velocity autocorrelation function. It was found that in the two‐dimensional Yukawa liquids the longitudinal oscillation frequency of particles becomes sensitive to variations in the coupling parameter if even weak additional dipole‐dipole interaction between particles exists.
