Model SAHA‐D based on chemical picture for equation of state of warm dense hydrogen is presented. Coulomb corrections are used via a modified pseudopotential model. Intense short‐range repulsion of neutral particles is described in simplified form (soft sphere model). The results of calculations of principal Hugoniots and double shock are compared with experiments and the first principle calculations. Asymptotic properties of the model at high temperature limit are considered (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
