Influences of highly energetic electrons on probe measurements has been investigated in a vacuum arc discharge plasma. Double and triple probe measurements clearly show these probe method is very sensitive for the small amount of hot electron component. (© 2008 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
