We use the 2D multifluid code TECXY to model possible changes of edge plasma transport in the vicinity of the dynamic ergodic divertor (DED) of TEXTOR tokamak. The increased effective radial transport coefficients in the stochastic magnetic field are calculated according to Tokar's model of optimal paths. A parameter study is carried out in order to estimate the possible changes of Marfe onset, position and strength by the action of DED. In the presence of carbon we do not find Marfe stabilization by DED transport. (© 2004 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
