In analogy with the phenomenon called acoustic streaming in ordinary fluid mechanics, we study here some non‐linear effects generated by progressing waves in a multicomponent plasma. Specifically we calculate the D. C. – streaming motion, electric field and density generated by the waves. In the last section we consider briefly the generation of second order effects in a rectangular wave‐guide.
