Canonic realization of wave digital filters involving unit elements

Recently, a method has been developed by means of which canonic wave digital filters can be derived from originally noncanonic ladder wave digital filters. This method applies only to wave digital filters which are derived from pure LC ‐ladder reference filters. In the paper, it is shown how noncanonic wave digital filters corresponding to reference filters containing unit elements can be transformed such that a canonic realization of these filters can be obtained as well.
