Sloped commensurate transmission‐line functions realizable with stubs and cascaded lines 1/8 wavelength long are presented. These functions may be applied to synthetizing matching networks required for slope compensation in microwave amplifiers. Examples for the broadband design of 7–14 GHz chip 1 μm gate f.e.t. and 4–8 GHz packaged f.e.t. amplifiers are given.
