State models based on graph‐theoretical concepts are presented for the computer‐aided analysis of large‐scale linear networks by decomposition in time as well as frequency domains. Several examples are analysed which illustrate the validity and efficiency of these models. These models exploit the sparsity and the repetitive structure present in most large‐scale networks.
