A new canonic realization cycle for lossless driving point immittance functions is given. This is achieved by extracting a six‐element section (involving three inductors and three capacitors), which is terminated in a simpler immittance function whose form is the same but of order six lower than that of the original. This method is easily extended to RC and RL cases.
