This paper discusses the realization of low‐pass filters having a pair of complex conjugate poles by a multiple feedback RC operational amplifier network. When the pole sensitivity with respect to the amplifier gain is prescribed, it is shown that the gain can be determined and then the synthesis proceeds in a way similar to the one with an infinite gain amplifier. This structure uses fewer passive elements as compared to Hakim's structure and the quadratic sensitivity index is closer to its theoretical minimum.
