A new synthesis procedure of non‐reciprocal lossless two‐port networks employing grounded gyrators and minimal number of capacitors is presented. In particular, it is shown that by appropriate elementary extractions of capacitors in shunt and/or series with port 1 and/or 2, gyrators in cascade with port 1 and/or 2, capacitively terminated gyrators in shunt with port 1 and/or 2, gyrators in parallel with ports 1 and 2, the synthesis of any lossless two‐port network can be accomplished. The synthesis procedure described gives much freedom in the choice of realization structure and element values, and is very convenient for integrated circuits synthesis.
