External inputs, stable equilibria and complete stability of CNNs

We construct two cellular neural networks (CNNs) of three cells to show that a CNN can have stable equilibria, but is not completely stable and that the complete stability of CNN depends on the choice of external inputs. These phenomena cannot occur for two‐cell CNNs. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
