The Front Cover shows the lithiation, sodiation, and potassiation of SnO 2 ‐based composite anode materials in alkali‐ion batteries. Large volume changes associated with the conversion and alloying reactions with alkali‐metal ions and its detrimental effect on the nano‐ and microstructure are identified as the main obstacles towards commercial application of anode materials in secondary batteries. Fabrication of diverse 3D nanostructures, composite formation, and doping are presented as possible solutions to enhance the cycling life and rate capability. More information can be found in the Minireview by F. Zoller et al. on page 4140 in Issue 18, 2019 (DOI: 10.1002/cssc.201901487).
