The Front Cover shows the catalytic hydrotreatment of humins byproduct derived from the aqueous processing of carbohydrates to form valuable chemicals. In their Full Paper, Z. Cheng et al. demonstrate that humins byproduct obtained from the aqueous processing of carbohydrates can be converted to valuable chemicals‐mainly esters, aromatic hydrocarbons and phenolics. The distribution of products can be tuned by adjusting the catalyst type, the solvent and process parameters. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Z. Cheng et al. on page 3609 in Issue 20, 2018 (DOI: 10.1002/cssc.201801535).
