The Front Cover shows a sustainable process for production of furfural, a valuable platform chemical, from lignocellulosic biomass using a solvent system composed of a biomass‐derived solvent, γ‐valerolactone (GVL) and water. Efficient production of furfural is a step forward towards shifting our reliance from fossil‐based resources to more sustainable biomass‐based resources.
