This Back Cover image shows the superiority of iron as active element in CO oxidation catalysts for exhaust gas cleaning compared to noble metals in terms of availability and price. The article illuminates the catalytically active sites of alumina‐supported iron catalysts by means of synchrotron radiation in form of X‐ray absorption spectroscopy and adjunct analysis methods. With the results we hope that the catalytic performance of iron‐based systems can be further improved to finally make the important task of exhaust gas cleaning more sustainable. The details can be found in the Full Paper by Schoch and Bauer on page 1996 in Issue 15, 2016 (DOI: 10.1002/cssc.201600508).
