V 2 O 5 impregnated onto Ce 0.6 Zr 0.4 O 2 ‐Al 2 O 3 is a highly active and stable catalyst for the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene with CO 2 . For the first time, highly dispersed vanadium species stabilized with CeO 2 and/or CeZrO 2 solid solution and deposited carbonaceous materials are revealed to be main factors contributing to its high stability.
