This article assesses the impact of mandatory participation in family information sessions (FIS) and selected demographic and maritalexperiences on the use of court resources such as motions, case conferences, and the number of days a divorce case remains active.The study, conductedin Ontario, Canada, concludes with a number of policy‐practice recommendations.
