In this article, the author explores the connection between developments in the field of conflict resolution and the evolution of effective comprehensive ethics to guide and measure practitioners. He argues that development of field requires clarification of both broad social values and specific professional rules. Further, he suggests that the field must soon address questions of definition and quality if it wishes to remain vital and growing.
