10.1002/crq.3890190108.abs The environment and public policy conflict resolution (ECR) field currently faces four challenges. The first three identified here are continuing issues: the purposes and goals of ECR work, how practitioners are organized to conduct ECR work, and who decides how ECR work should be conducted. The fourth challenge concerns significant criticism of collaborative processes by environmental advocates. A new research consortium that invites participation from all parties interested in these criticisms and other questions is described.
