The XRD studies of CaS : Cu,Cl; ZnS · Cu,Cl; (Zn + Ca) S : Cu,Cl, and (Zn + Ca) S · Cu, La,Cl showed the presence of materials like CaSO 4 and ZnO. However, the explanations given earlier (SEN, BHUSHAN) on the origin of different bands observed in the electroluminescence spectra of these materials remain valid.
