Triglycine sulfate (TGS) crystals doped with Cr 6+ have been grown from a growth solution with various Cr 6+ concentrations. The structure, transmission spectrum, pyroelectric properties, and the photorefractive effect of the crystals have been measured. It has a high internal bias field and photorefractive effect.
