This paper presents the growth process of a new organometallic nonlinear optical (NLO) crystal triallylthiourea mercury bromide (ATMB). The growth conditions are analyzed in terms of the pH value of solution, and also crack of the crystal is interpreted according to anisotropy of thermal expansion coefficients.
