Current‐voltage characteristics measured on TlGaTe 2 single crystals reveal switching effects at temperatures below 263 K. The current‐voltage characteristics are symmetric with respect to the polarity of the applied field. The threshold parameters for switching are found to depend on temperature, illumination intensity and sample thickness.
