Magnesium hydrogen phosphate and Barium hydrogen phosphate crystals were grown in the presence of sodium meta silicate (sol‐gel method). Raman and IR spectra were measured for the above crystals. Vibrational assignments were made for both the crystals. The large shift of the stretching and bending modes of water from the free state values indicates the different hydrogen bonds strenghts present in the magnesium hydrogen phosphate crystals.
