Abstract Given hereby are the results of mathematical modelling of thermal conditions for the method of travelling temperature field (“travelling wave”). All the estimates have been made for the process of leucosapphire crystallization. Demonstrated are the advantages of the above method as against the horizontally directed crystallization on account of shifting the container.
