Structural changes of chlorite, berthierine, biotite were investigated under hydrothermal conditions at p H 2 O = 100 MPa (1 kbar), T = 200–600 °C, run over 3 days with additions of AsS, NaCl, dolomite. The synthesis of pyrrhotine and arsenopyrite was detected at the expense of extraction of Fe from the structures of transforming layer silicates. The degree of the removal of Fe with the formation of sulphides depends on its being blocked up by a silicate surrounding. It grows in the sequence biotite‐chlorite‐berthierine.
