Tetradentate bioactive macrocyclic thiourea 1,8,10,17‐tetraazacyclooctadecane‐9,18‐dithione(L) has been complexed with copper chloride dihydrate yielding bluish green coloured paramagnetic complex of orthorhombic geometry. The composition and tentative environment around Cu(II) is assigned on the basis of elemental analysis, IR, ESR spectra, X‐ray diffraction and magnetic studies.
