The products of the reaction for obtaining lead telluride and tin telluride, synthesized by the iodide method, were analyzed by the method of acoustic attenuation (internal friction). The results of the investigations are in agreement with the model, suggested earlier, of self‐alloying of tellurides by metallic component.
