The growth of KDP crystals dependent on the applied physical parameters as seed sizes pH‐value of the solution, rate of the temperature decrease and initial supersaturation has been investigated. The prismatic and pyramidal growth components have been investigated separately. A pragmatic model which is hold as simple as possible simulates numerically different shapes of the growth habit, which are caused to the variation of aforementioned parameters. The results are plotted quasigraphically. The observed shapes of the simulated habit enable us to understand some growth striations in real crystals. The time dependent behaviour of the growth velocity may be simulated, additionally.
