A study of surface structures of Prism faces (110) of ammonium tartrate single crystals grown by gel technique is described and illustrated. Vertical striations closly and widely spaced are observed. Isolated as well as densely populated rectangular elongated hillocks are reported and mechanism of the growth of these faces is assessed in the light of observed surface structure.
