A description of the various orientations of microstructure and large single crystals of triglycine sulphate (TGS) is reviewed. A difference of the orientation of TGS in polydomain state and in two possible singledomain states is discussed. The conclusions are applied to TGS crystals doped with L, alanine or D, alanine.
