Using XPS method it is shown that the anodic charge transfer supported oxidation of platinum single crystal electrodes in aqueous 0.1 M HClO 4 solution is influenced by the atomic surface arrangements. The best electrode stability is received for the (111) surface with the largest atomic density in the case reported here.
